Why switch from Misterb&b via Rentals United to Guesty directly?

There are no additional benefits. The functionality is the same for both types of connections.

Why do users delete their Misterb&b account when switching directly to Guesty?

This is a Misterb&b requirement. Users need to create a new account to connect to Guesty directly.

Can existing reservations be moved to the new account when switching directly to Guesty?

This is not possible, as per Misterb&b's requirements. The calendar should not contain any upcoming Misterb&b reservations. All upcoming reservations will be canceled when the account is deleted.

We can recommend that users disconnect Misterb&b listings from Rentals United in order to hide them from search results. This will prevent new reservations. Learn more.
